Hi,

I'm new to HHC, but I have a major concern. My hedgie, Pepper, is not acting normal. He is a one-two year old male.

All of a sudden, about a week and a half ago. He stopped wheeling all together. His pooing and eating slowed down, too. He is active outside of the cage like a normal hedgie. I just have no idea whats going on.

Has anything changed? New food? Cage get moved? Do his nails need trimmed?

Nothing has changed. The location of his wheel was moved to make room in his cage.

Very little poops last night. Nails are trimmed. I've heard of using canned pumpkin to loosen up the digestive system?

His wheel is still in his cage though, right? What's the temperature in his cage at night and does he have a light on all day?

You can feed a bit of unseasoned canned pumpkin or sweet potatoes to see if that helps.

Pepper did go on his wheel last night!!!! YAY!!! But...................... the poops still are superb. Haha!! Thanks for your help. will be trying the pumpkin. Keep ya'll posted!!!
