I just got my first hedgie (Penelope) last saturday, and the breeder i got her from wasn't sure of her color. her parents are an Algerian Brown and Algerian Grey, and the 4 other babies in her litter were 2 albinos and 2 Algerian (light) Browns. her skin has a different tinge to it, and the breeder said something about there being a lilac color gene? she asked if i could keep her updated with pics to see what Lopie's adult color turns into. she was dark when she was born, got lighter, and is now getting darker again. she's only 9 weeks so i know her color will likely change, but can someone help me out with it still?

I would guess Algerian Brown, but I'm not good with the lighter colors...

her color is changing still...

since i posted the color question, i've been keeping an eye on her and i started noticing a few quills here and there that are a totally different color! now they're spread all over her. i added new pics including 2 close-up quill pictures to that same photobucket site, if you wouldn't mind checking it out. it's easy to see the different colors.
