I may be jumping the gun as it has only happened tonight so far...but Thistle's poop smells very different and much stronger than usual! I want to say metallic is a good word to describe the new smell? Recently I started putting flax seed oil into her food, but only a few drops maybe once or twice a week. She's been eating and drinking fine but this smell is bad enough that I'm considering sleeping in a different room! If anyone can give me any idea's as to what might be the problem, I would appreciate it!

If she's been getting the flax seed oil for awhile then it probably has nothing to do with the change in smell. A metallic smell could indicate blood in the feces. A change in smell can also be a sign of an intestinal infection. I would make a vet appointment for her and take in a fresh stool sample to have it checked.
I started the oil a couple weeks ago, I've given it to her 3 or 4 times. The smell wasn't really metallic, it was the only word I could think of to describe it...more like (forgive the metaphor) the olfactory equivalent of a sound being at a higher pitch than you're used to, if that makes any sense? I'll be paying close attention to her tonight, hopefully it was a 1 time thing!
