I was just wondering whether anyone has ordered the product advertised here:

The site mentions some names I recognized from the online hedgehog community, and I admit that influenced my decision to order a rather expensive, but apparently low-maintenance and hedgehog-friendly wheel.

The site warned that there was usually a 2 week waiting time between ordering and receiving the product, which struck me as reasonable. However, it's been almost a month, and I still haven't received the wheel. A few days ago I sent an e-mail to the address listed in the "contact" section, and I've gotten no reply.

Is this company still in business? Might something else have gone wrong? My Paypal transaction went through, so at least that much of the business is still working.

Thanks for any information you might have. Spirit is well on her way to wearing out an old Comfort Wheel that I am getting very tired of cleaning.

Reaper is the owner and sole employee of Hog Wallow Inds. and he is not in perfect health therfore backed up on orders.
The CWS is great as advertised(i have 4 of them) and i bet your Spirit will love it when it arrives hang in there

Like Larry said, Reaper's getting caught up. As long as your hedgehog has a wheel though, just be patient. I know Comfort Wheels are a pain to clean, I used one before I bought a CWS, but it'll be worth it in the end. CWS wheels are VERY easy to clean, especially after using a comfort wheel. I spend about 5 minutes cleaning my Cakewalk as opposed to 20-30 minutes of soaking and cleaning the comfort wheel. So it'll be well worth the time waiting! I'm sure it'll get to you soon.

Ah, good--I thought the owner might be someone who posts here. I'm also glad to know that the online store is still in business. I passed by some bucket wheel sites because the last update appeared to be years ago, and I had no idea if the site owner had quit making wheels and just never taken the site down, or what.

I'm also glad to hear that the Cake Walk wheels are as good as they look online. I'm sure Spirit will love it.

I recommend you do not order the Cake Walk. I ordered mine almost a month ago and REAPER will not return phone calls or reply to messages. I understand he is in poor health. But, this is no excuse not to return several emails and PM's.

a month isn't that long to wait for something hand made....i waited almost 8 weeks to recieve my bucket wheels a few years ago, and didn't find that to be excessive.

I'd like to see Reaper design a wheel in the shape of the flying saucer one while still keeping it as easy to clean as the CWS.

The FS is already easy to clean ive had one before and cleanup is almost as easy not much difference imo,the thing with the FS is alot of hedgies won't use it ecspecially the bigger hedgies.

I waited 2 months at the end of the summer. The story then was a sick child. I emailed and emailed and he never got back to me. Had to start a thread like you did and he finally posted to it.

Personally if he is in bad health (or a family member is) he needs to take his website down and focus on getting healthy. It's bad business practice and so annoying to customers.

That aside, I have the wheel and our heggie Francesca LOVES it.
