Just cut a piece of fleece to fit the cage. Since fleece doesn't fray, you won't have to hem the sides or anything. just cut-to-fit and you're all set! :)

What about cleaning the liners; what type of detergent should I use to wash them? My girlfriend and I just bought enough fabric to make about 12 or so liners. I presume we will change them every few days.

Thanks for any help,

Cheers,

You will want to use one that is scent free. I use a scent free/dye free version. I also use the double rinse cycle just to ensure all the suds get out.

I picked up a biodegradeable, phosphate-free, dye-free, scent-free detergent at my local grocery store. I will try it out and see how it goes. I've requested the full ingredient list from the manufacturer also to check up on it.

I think I saw the MSDS on their website...

For washing my stuff or any pet stuff I always use a detergent with "free" in it, they have no dye, fragrance, etc.
