I'm not sure if she was fed bug before or not. I offered Lola some roaches when she opened up and started sniffing around on my lap. She seemed to not know what they were. I'm just going to keep trying... Are there hedgies who dislike bugs?

I've had her a few days. She was only being fed one kind of catfood. I think I read here not to introduce new food until she has been settling for a week. Is this right? I want to start her on a variety. And does the new food rule apply to bugs?

Also I bought her a wheel. Should I wait to put it in her cage until she's a little more settled?

All new food AND treats(including bugs) should not be given in the first 1-2 weeks, to give them time to settle in. It's ideal to wait awhile to let her accustom herself to the new environment, before doing something that may upset her tummy. If it's something she's used to/had before, then it's fine. But otherwise, it's best to wait. And once you do start introducing new stuff, be sure to introduce 1 new food at a time, so you can see her reaction.(upset tummies/allergies/mortal dislike/heavenly love, etc etc)
So if you are wanting to add in new cat kibble, I'd hold off on the treat giving during that first days as well.

She can have the wheel though. ^_^

And yes, there ARE some who are deathly afraid of bugs, even mealies. And some who will not touch a live bug, and some need you to chop them up for them.

Yep, introduce new foods, treats, and bugs slowly and monitor how well she takes to them. Feeding one at a time gradually will help you narrow down what caused issues if something came up.
