Hello everyone!

I just wanted to share with you all some pictures, and some "aw" moments!

I bred my female around veteran's day in November, and she gave birth to two boys and a girl around/on December 20th. For a first time mother, she did really good. I'm so proud of her, and I love the babies to death. I was definitely planning on keeping one, but due to limited space I've been voted out it seems. Lol. All in all, I'm really glad I was able to experience the birthing process with my hedgie, and there is nothing in this world that can describe welcoming in babies into the world. I'd like to share with you a few of the group shots I took a few weekends ago. Btw, I'm in WA state should anyone be interested! :)

The babies are very cute. I am glad you had success with that litter. Breeding hedgehogs is not something to take lightly. A lot of first time moms do not do well with the babies, some will kill them. I hope you have pedigree info on the parents, so that you did not breed hedgehogs that could pass on WHS.

Recently, I had a mom have difficulties. First baby was born died, second one was stuck half way out, butt first. I had to rush her to the vet's office just at closing time. #2 also died. The vet gave mom pitocin and took her home with him. #3 baby was finally delivered dead after 6 hrs. Mom was very sick after that from this, but survived with extra care at home. Vet bill $200 and female is now retired.
