So we've had our hedgehog for over months now, and she's about 8-10 months old, so not a baby. When we first got her, she bit occasionally but not too frequently (and generally not hard either). But lately, like in the past week, she's been biting a lot. Like constantly. We had some friends over and she bit some of them pretty hard. And it's not just them--the other night, my boyfriend and I were sitting on the couch w/ her w/ the lights dimmed and a blanket laid across our laps and she was crawling behind me and bit my hand out of nowhere. And she's bitten both me multiple times and my boyfriend at least once this past week.
Just to see if it was a food thing I washed my hands the other day before getting her out but she tried to bite me anyway.
We have tried the blowing in her face thing we read on this site, but it's not been making much of a difference. Is there anything else we can try? And what might the reasons be for the sudden upswing in biting?
