I am curious which wheel would be the safest for my dear Sonic Tiberious Hedgehog. Any recomendations on which one would be the best?

In my order of preferance

1. Cake Walk Supreme available from our very own Reaper

2. D-I-Y Bucket Wheel available from various places online, or can build your own

3. Giant Comfort Wheel available at most Petcos

4. Flying Saucer available from most Petcos

Any other wheel is not recomended at all, If you would like my list of pros and cons for each type you can pm me on here

I have to agree with dorasdaddy, my first choice would be a Cake Walk Supreme (www.hedgehogwheel.com), then a homemade bucket wheel, and then I have to say the Flying Saucer, but that's only because I only have experience with these three wheels. I haven't used anything else because I don't feel anything else is really worth it (when you have these already).

I have 4 CWS and they are great easy to clean and super silent best wheel out IMO.
I also have a FS it is easy to clean as well and is quite..comes in 2nd IMO
I have a few Giant Comfort Wheels not as easy to clean and very loud but got em for $12 each not bad for the price.

How old is your hedgie? For anyone but the smallest baby, the 6" is way too small. That is half the size of what it should be, I doubt any hedgie over 100g could walk let alone run in it...

I wouldn't put even a baby on a 6" wheel. It is too small. Also, why bother keeping something that is going to me know good. He will be fine without a wheel for a week or two until you can find a proper sized one.

It'd be a good idea to start a new thread next time. This one is from 2009 and it can get confusing when old threads are brought back up. :)

With Flying Saucers, you'll want to get the 12" largest size. Welcome to the forum!
