Bathing question

I gave my baby Sonic a bath yesterday and after I made sure he was dry and gave him some mealies I placed him back in his cage and this was around 2 AM. For some reason he seemed to not want to play very much for the rest of the night and just slept and ate his food because this afternoon when I went to check on him is wheel was almost as clean as when I put it in there.

I was just wondering if other people have similar experiences after they give their hedgies baths? Are they just so tired after all the running around trying to escape or was he just sleeping a lot because he's still just a baby?
