Anyone identify what this is. Its a british hedgehog only 7-8 weeks old I believe.
These bumps appear to be pustules just behind its head
They ooze puss that is very strong smell.

Awaiting to take to vets but not sure why its occured.
The hoglet was in very poor condition when it came in and these pustules were there. Does seem to be where quills are. Is eating well and very active otherwise.

Holly is a female African Pygmy Hedgehog. She weighs about 463g and was born May 28, 2019.

I would strongly suggest taking this buddy to a vet, if you haven't already. Broken quills and pustules look pretty bad. Could definitely be an infection, inflamed, or ingrown quills (is this a thing?). Be careful though since it is wild.
