I looked up hedgehog teeth on Google and found this pic...He doesn't look to friendly..!! anyways what i was wondering is..our new hedgie seems to be doing ok (see topic - "Our new Hedgehog"...my b/f leaves his shirt is his cage and he had him out today..Spike that's our hedgie :) was letting him pet his nose and his bald spot on his head ..and also his ears ..it was so cute ..!! but Spike showed his teeth one time but did not bite...and is it ok to pet him from front to back?? with out hurting his quills?

It's fine to pet hedgie's quills. When they are laid down, they feel really neat. Not to mention most things, including hedgies, like backrubs...
