Kissing your hedgie is not usually recommended due to the potential spread of bacteria. I have been known to kiss my hedgies after a bath and they are all clean. I also cuddle my hedgehogs all the time. Either use a cuddle sack or make sure you are wearing clothing that you then throw in the dirty clothes to wash. I wouldn't recommend cuddling without at least a t-shirt on but if you do then be sure to shower/bathe afterwards. I usually use a baby wipe or a wash cloth to clean the hedgies feet first, as hedgehogs run around in their enclosures and often through their urine & poop.

The important thing is to be safe about it and make sure you are washing your hands (and other exposed body parts like arms, legs, etc.) after handling your hedgie(s). My husband and I have had hedgehogs for 5+ years and have never gotten sick from handling/cuddling/kissing our hedgehogs.
