shinydistraction There really isn't much that can be passed from hedgehogs to humans. Just follow common sense rules of cleanliness. Wash hands thoroughly and probably do hedgehog laundry separate from people laundry.

Once those motor skills start really developing everything is going to wind up in your babies mouth anyway. Especially if it's disgusting. Those things find themselves in baby mouths faster than non disgusting things.

Hedgehogs and newborn babies.

Hello everyone. I recently came home with a newborn baby. I will always still take care of my pets. Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone has taken care of a hedgehog while having a newborn. I am just worried about passing something on to my baby after I clean his cage or give him a bath since he always poops on me at that time. Obviously I wash my hands afterward. I guess I am just being a paranoid new mom! I am not giving up my hedgehog, I am just wondering what you can do to combat passing on something. Thanks.
