FinnickHog If you come back in the next few days, I think I found someone. Send me a message if you see this. They're looking to get a hedgehog soon though, so if you don't message me soon it could be too late.

nikki Thanks for posting April's info, I was thinking of her but the info I had for her wasn't current anymore.

FinnickHog I wish I had the space to house Boo, but I don't right now . I'll keep asking around and hopefully I can convince someone.

Lilysmommy Unfortunately, general animal shelters & rescues aren't typically a good idea for a hedgehog - they don't usually have a clue how to take care of exotics, and they often don't have the room or resources needed to house them properly.

To the OP, I messaged someone who lives in your area to see if she knows anyone who might be up for a hedgehog. Other than that, I would suggest looking up the Hedgehog Welfare Society & see if they have any rescues that could take him.

nikki Where in Alberta are you located?

Alberta, Canada.

It pains me to do this, but I need to find a new home for my hedgehog. Unfortunately, University has proven to be more expensive than I thought, and I can't afford to keep up with his needs. His name is Boo, and he is about a year and a half old. I won't lie, he isn't the most social hedgehog out there. It's taken him some time to become comfortable with me, but every minute of bonding with him was a minute well spent. If anyone is interested in him, please let me know. I want to send him to a good home where I know he will be well taken care of.
