ahart333 I took her to the vet a week or so ago and he gave her some ointment to put on her nose. He thinks, since she's quilling again, that a quill poked her on accident and it really irritated her

han_victoria Hey, how is she? It sounds like what started happening with my Hercules, and it turned out to be some sort of allergic reaction.

ahart333 Update: I just now checked on her and I see a tiny scab forming. I'm going to take her into the vet tomorrow morning

ahart333 The bump isn't even a bump, really. it's extremely topical and just reddened. She doesn't have any other bumps or lesions on her of any sort.

ahart333 What are the symptoms of a staph in infection in hedgehogs? She's fine in every other way, she eats normal and wheels so I'm not sure if she's sick or if she just accidentally hurt herself

nikki It could be a staph infection, it can be quite common and if it is it will need a vet visit to get treatment.

nikki What kind of cage is she in? bars? glass?

ahart333 I have a rubber duck in her cage and another rubber toy, but they haven't ever bothered her at all.
