My poor 3 year old girl Daisy seems to have broken out with a rash, mainly near the left corner of her mouth/some on her chin and a little on the right side of her mouth. On the left side there is also what looks like a small pus bump.. I've softened her kibble just in case that has given her any problems. Thankfully her behavior/appetite is still healthy and the same. Google has been of no help, and I've read so many hedgie threads to possibly find out what this is, all to no avail. So I registered on here to hopefully find help, before I check out a vet. If anyone has experienced this or has any clue what this is, please help me out!
Update on Daisy: I cleaned up her mouth and chin with some qtips/saline, also gave her an oatmeal bath. The redness actually seems to have reduced quite a bit and the pus is gone. I honestly didn't expect the oatmeal or saline to help at all, but it seems like it has! I will post an update if anything changes
Sorry you hadn't gotten a response! I glanced at this earlier, but wasn't sure what to say, so figured I'd wait. Glad to hear that it seems to have cleared up though. Hopefully it stays that way!
