Re: Kashi is developing Algerian cheek patches!

Kashi is just adorable. I honestly am not sure what to say here... I don't think you'd consider him Algerian, mostly because the new patches aren't nearly as extensive as they would on a hedgie who had them right from the start. I saw you posted in the color fading thread... PixiesExoticHedgehogs also commented on how Inky seemed to develop very slight eye patches. While there are a few darker hairs there I really don't think it's enough to change your mind over color or anything. Wow, rambling... yep, sorry, that's all the help I have.

I notice he also has less white quills than he did. That happens frequently, they either quill into more white or less. If he is quilling now, he may go back to more white. Either way, he is a cutie.
Hopefully they will come onto the forum sometime soon and answer

He lost a lot of his white quills during his first quilling, yes. He went from all white to maybe around 30% white quills. Who knows, though... Just shows how much hedgies change with age

I'm not expert, especially on cheek patches so I can't comment on that. What I will say though is that those are very cute pictures of Kashi!

It's very strange, because the coloring around his nose has lightened, but he's developed the cheek patches

Kashi is developing Algerian cheek patches!

So when Kashi was 9 weeks old I got him identified on here as a white bellied chocolate chip.

I was going through his photos, and I have come to the conclusion that he has developed the Algerian cheek patches!

Here are photos from when Kashi was a wee lil baby

And now his most recent photos!

Is this possible?
