Lilysmommy Thank you, all of you! Shetland, I was hoping you'd see this! Honestly, I'm curious to see just how bad he is, and also what his level of care is. The owner sounds like she's doing her best, but I'll just have to wait & see. He could very well be exactly as bad as she says. And good luck with your pet-sitting Teddi!

And thank you, Kalandra, I was hoping you'd be willing. I'll let her know that we have another option if she's looking to find him a good home sooner rather than later. The earliest I'd probably be able to take him is next October, depending on financial circumstances & a possible international trip (should hopefully be in September, but will have to wait & see).

Kalandra How exciting Kelsey. I know you know this already, but if she does decide she cannot handle the biting and you aren't ready for it, I'm here.

ellisrks01 I agree with Momlady! They wouldn't find a better person to watch him You should have some interesting stories if he's a biting grump.

Yay! I'm truly excited for you.

Teddi4211 That's great! I wish you good luck. I am hedgie-sitting in November and am pretty excited. He is a boy, so we'll have to make sure all the cages are escape proof, not to mention distance between them...But anyway, good luck!

MomLady I can't think of a better person to hedgie sit than you.

Something to look forward to after the holiday let-down.

Yay!

Looking forward to January...

I'm probably posting about this way too early, but I'm excited! And no...I'm not getting a new hedgie (yet)! But I AM going to petsit one for an entire month, hopfully! A new petsitting client that I just started working with this year is a hair salon owner. We've been talking a ton & of course at some point I mentioned hedgehogs. She has a client who has a hedgie & she's going to be going away for a month or so, starting in January. She's very interested in having me take care of the little guy, so if all goes well, he'll be staying at my house all month! I can't wait!!

Of course, it should be interesting, to say the least...apparently he's a grumpy boy and a huge biter. So he'll be the complete opposite from how Lily was. I'm sure I'll go crazy posting pictures & telling stories once the job begins. I've missed having a hedgie to play with, I think it's been over a year since I've even held one.

(And though this is even more up in the air...Apparently the owner is thinking about finding a new home for him, she's just not sure she can manage him anymore, with his biting. I still can't consider it until I've moved out into a place of my own, but....we'll see! )
