|lilythehedgie||It's possible she could've bumped it after her surgery. I hadn't considered that, and it's certainly a good explanation. She did poop on her wheel last night, but there was a little poop still on the floor of her cage, but progress! She has a past history of changing her habits fast (she started liner diving randomly when she was younger and has never stopped ) so maybe this will just be one of her little traits|

Is she having trouble climbing into the box at all? Maybe her abdomen was still sore and she bumped it on the side of the box climbing in and that discouraged her from wanting to use it again? That's the only thing I can think of as far as the litter box. Retraining her to use it was a good idea though so don't give up!
Maybe she's like my guy who suddenly decided to change his potty habits. For no apparent reason he started climbing down from his wheel to use his litter box when he needs to go. Maybe he thinks he can avoid footbaths or something but he will not poo or pee on his wheel anymore. Not that I'm complaining, of course. It's just odd. Hedgies are such weirdos!

Won't poop in litterbox post-surgery
A few weeks ago Lily had surgery to remove a lump on her abdomen. I'm glad to say that she is doing fine after her surgery. The only change I have seen is that she quit pooping in her litterbox. She still runs and pees on her wheel, but she won't poop on it or in her litterbox. Whenever I get her out of her cage, there's always poop under the liner far away from her box. Is this something that is just a little quirk she's developed from the surgery that she will always have, or will she eventually stop doing it? I've been moving the poop into her litterbox to encourage her to poop in it, but so far it hasn't worked. Any feedback is welcome! Thanks!
