JOliverio | Welll!! Thor is officially free of ringworm and he is doing a lot better! And his quills are starting to grow back in from where he lost them! =D |

Well as of last week his ringworm culture is still negative, so that is good! =) I was just potentially advised to change his diet in case he has a food allergy |

One of my hedgehogs had ringworm and it took so long to clear- it was at least 3 months before it cleared entirely. I feel your pain- I hate dealing with ringworm. |

JOliverio | Another update from last thursday june 12. The vet and all the techs said that he is looking better and potentially doing better. I was told to stop treating for ringworm for the time being while they send out another skin scrapping to determine if the ringworm is finally gone! Hopefully I will find out this week or next week! Hoping for good news |

JOliverio | Another update as of yesterday...He looks better than what he did when i first brought him into the vet..(the Vet agrees and so did all the technicians that saw him..which was all six of them..) I haven't found any chunks of skin/fur with quills attached when i have been cleaning out his cage.. I have found a few loose quills but not a large amount. He is still scratching every now and then.. He had a third and final dosage of revolution applied and he is still on medication for ringworm. And thus I have to go back in another two weeks...(Starting to think they just like taking my money ><) |

JOliverio |
So its been a few weeks since starting treatment for ringworm and Thor received the two treatments for mites, however he is still losing some quills and has a few scabs/sores on his body... He seems to be eating/drinking okay from what I can tell and only some slightly behavioral changes (hissing a bit more when handled(probably due to sores/syringie feeding medication) and digging/hiding himself underneath his wheel on the litter pan..) I have to go back on May 29th for another check up visit and hopefully things start to clear up... |
