chocolatecinnicot hi guys, been a few months now and it looks like I might be getting one possibly soonish! found a breeder that has just had a litter (today I think), have to wait until the weekend to see picture but it's exciting! thanks for the comments, thinking about getting the Ferplast Maxi Duna Multy Guinea Pig and Rabbit Cage, what do you guys think? pretty set on getting this one! seems big enough

dog&hedgehog This is what I got for my boy. It is big enough for his wheel and litter box and bed and he still has plenty of room to run around and play in if he wants. It is also very easily cleaned and transported!

TheSmellyHedgie Hello welcome to the community! If you do not like the look of C&C cages you could make a sterlite bin cage and personalize it to your needs by connecting multiple bins with PVC pipes. If money isn't a big concern for you, Ferret Nation cages are extremely popular because they give a good amount of space and storage. They are also extremely durable since its made out of metal, but the only con is that they are around 200 dollars if I'm not mistaken.

PrincessPricklyPenelope I love my hedgie! So glad I bought her. I got a simple solid bottom rabbiet/guinea pig cage. I made sure there was enough room for her wheel, her corner litterbox, and her heating pad which her sleeping bag sits on. I dont recommend the two tiered cages as hedgies dont have great depth perception.
As far as upkeep - I work a full time job and have several different animals (horses, dogs, and cats) and the hedgie is the easiest to take care of.

Still Deciding!

hello,I've been thinking about getting a African Pygmy hedgehog for quite some time now.
I was hoping to get one for my birthday in April but im still unsure about a few things.
anyway, thought I'd just join even though I don't own a hedgehog yet. hoping to find out more about these adorable creatures. also does anyone have any reccomendations for cages?
other than c+c's.(personally don't like the look of them)
