|Lilysmommy||Older hedgies, especially ones that may not have been cared for great in their previous homes, can definitely be a little more huffy sometimes. Just give him a chance! It may take him a few weeks or a few months to calm down and get used to things. Just be patient and continue to take him out every night for some bonding time. He may still be pretty huffy in his cage - some hedgehogs can be territorial about their cages - but hopefully he'll calm down for you soon. Good luck!|

Some Questions About My Previously Owned Hedgie
The previous owners of my new 10 month old hedgie, Turi, kept him in a not so clean environment. When I got him with his cage it was very dirty and needed a good scrubbing. I cleaned his cage and everything in it and he seems to be doing fine and is running on his wheel, eating, etc. However, since he is 10 months old I wasn't sure if he would be a but more edgy because of that? He is very jumpy and hisses and clicks whenever I go near and I'm not sure how to approach it seeing he is my first hedgie and all. I'm just look in for some advice so thanks in advance!
