Re: Anointing Behaviors

Fiona annointed once in her whole life. She tried plenty of new foods, traveled to many new places, etc. Never thought to annoint.

Though it may have been my fault...when I first moved into my new apartment, I let her run around the floor. I didn't even stop to consider I hadn't vacuumed yet. So she starting eating at the carpet and I picked her up in a panic thinking she ate something bad and I think I freaked her out (by being freaked out myself!) so she never did it again

I don't think it's too strange. Maybe she has done it...you just never saw it? lol or maybe just not her thing. all hedgies have little quirks lol

Anointing Behaviors

Just wondering if anyone else has experienced a hedgie that does not anoint. I was excited to see Gerdie anoint but after almost 4 weeks, I have not seen her do it once. Is that normal behavior? I take her out every day and have introduced her to many new things including people and even taking her to a friends house with me for a weekend. Was just wondering if anyone else has seen the same behavior in a hedgie. Thanks!
