Re: GETTING HEDGEHOG MONDAY!!
Getting a hedgie is exciting! But please make sure you know exactly what you're getting into before you bring him or her home. Make sure you have a way to keep the cage warm, over 74*F 24-7. Also make sure you have plenty of money set aside for vet bills, when they come up they can be very costly. Above all, just read the forums. Use the search tool, you can find the answers to most of your questions that way.
Here are some stickies that will probably help you a ton:

GETTING HEDGEHOG MONDAY!!
I'm getting a hedgehog on Monday! If someone could answer a few of my questions my research would go a lot faster. Thanks!
What do they eat? The pet store seems to think they eat hamster food, but I have good reason to doubt the pet store. Some websites say they eat hedgehog food while others say to never feed hedgehog food because it is bad. I'm so confused.
What is the best kind of cadge?
What kind of shavings are best for the cadge? Pine, aspen, paper products, corncob? Don't worry I know to not use cedar.
What other things are very important for a new hedgehog owner to know?
