Re: Play Time

Ok, thanks! Hedgie is afraid of live bugs, like terrified! She curls up in a ball and hisses at them, especially crickets...she isn't interested in meal worms at all either. Hedgie loves exploring so bathtub might be a safer place for her than the floor where she trys to go underneath furniture! :P I have a cat ball with her, and a stuffed animal I keep in her cage...I'll take them out with me next time though!

Re: Play Time

I think a little clarification is needed...I hope the paddling pool is empty. Little kiddie pools provide great playpens when empty.

I've let Brillo in the past hunt crickets in the bathtub. It's quite funny to see them get all hyped up to chase down a treat! ...but then you have to be okay with having live bugs in your tub, too. He's not the best hunter, but what he lacks in skill he makes up for in enthusiasm!

You could try placing your hedgie in a playpen or a paddling pool, and giving her some solid (the ones with holes can injure hedgies, they can get noses/nails/feet stuck) cat balls to push around, also, you could giver her a little stuffed animal toy to snuggle/drag around hope this gives you some ideas

Play Time

Hey When I get Hedgie out to play what are some different things you let them do? I let her sleep on me and she will run around on the floor, sometimes I bring her toilet paper roll out too (: Any other ideas?
