Re: Do ceramic heat emitters heat the entire room it's in? For an owner with only 1 or 2 hedgies the CHE setup is IMO the best and most human friendly way to go. Most of us don't like a room as warm as hedgehogs need it so this way gives hedgie a warm environment and us a comfortable room temperature.

Re: Do ceramic heat emitters heat the entire room it's in? CHE's only heat the cage. Space heaters heat the whole room. I personally prefer to use a space heater, and then have a CHE set up to kick in in case I forget to turn the space heater back on. I've found that with CHE's alone it's harder to keep the whole cage an even temperature, though many other people use only CHE's. Whatever works for you! |

Do ceramic heat emitters heat the entire room it's in? Or do they only heat the cage? I'm thinking about getting a hedgehog, I've got everything figured out except the heating. I know this is one of the most important things, so it'd be cool if you could help me out. P.S. I realize this is kind of a dumb question.. |
