How much hair was lost? Was it in patches or in small clusters? Had your hedgehog already been awake that day, or did they come straight out of bed to snuggle?
I don't know, it was scattering on my girlfriend's lap and when I noticed it, I carried Mei for a bit and some furs are on my hands when I checked. I'm not sure if she was already awake but when I took her she was on her cozy, so I'm guessing she come straight out of bed.

Re: falling fur

All animals (humans includes!) lose hair. The question is: How much hair are they losing?

A hedgie, especially a young one, can undergo some really intense shedding phases, when your black shirt will look decorated with a lot of white fur.

falling fur

Earlier, during my girlfriend was petting Mei on her lap I noticed some fur on her lap where Mei was.
Is it normal for them to have falling furs???
