I've had a couple who would squish themselves and sleep under the wheel. Also had a pair of sisters (Maui & NeMali) who when Maui was running and NeMali wanted on, the NeMali would squish herself under the wheel and press against it to slow the Maui down. Maui would get frustrated and get off looking at her sister. NeMali then would quickly jump on the wheel and take off.

lol, vex used to try to do that under his flying saucer and would tip it over. i eventually had to tape the wheel down and now he jsut runs on it.

Yeah, some like to do that. I'm sure the thrill will wear off for him. Or maybe not. I wouldn't worry about it.

Could this possibly hurt him?

I recently bought a bucket wheel, its been 3 days and my hedgehog has decided he doesnt want to use the wheel as a wheel, instead he simply squishes himself down to about 3/4 of an inch thick and walks under it! Its not that anything looks wrong, im just thinking that it cant be good to do that alll the time can it?

What do you guys think?
