ThehedgehogOreo Ok great! I’ve only had him a month so I’m a little paranoid at any change with him!

Aj.t It sounds to me like normal hedgehog poop... sometimes my girl’s poop ‘level’ fluctuates between a bit of poop and a lot of poop. It depends not only on how much they eat, but also how active they are, since their digestive system kicks into full gear as they’re more active. I asked about the water to make sure he wasn’t dehydrated; some hedgies who don’t get enough water from a bottle can have funky poop, but it sounds to me like everything seems fine! How long have you had him?

Aj.t What kind of water access does he have? Bottle or dish? Hedgehogs do poop a lot for being such small critters, and as long as the poop isn’t off in color (black or green), it doesn’t sound too concerning. Is he pooping it out in dry pellets, or is that how they are when you clean/find them?

Hedgy poop

My hedgehog has been pooping a lot more usual and in little pellets. Is there anything I can do or anything I did to cause or fix this?
