| Bluegirl | I'm so so sorry to hear about Wendy. It's shocking and devastating that it happened so fast, before you could even get her help. Take care of yourself. I know it must be hard. I've only had my little guy a short time but I worry about him constantly and am already so attached to him. |

| AJ2250 | Oh my god. I’m logged in to ask for help. I think my hedgehog is dealing with the same thing. Worst part is that no vets nearby will be open until Monday. I think my Penny is dying. |

I no longer need help on this issue. Unfortunately, Wendy passed away early this morning when I was trying to make an appointment to see the vet. It is still frightening and devastating to know this all happened over the span of 24h. |

Lethargic, not eating much, heavy breathing. I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas of what's going on with my hedgehog. There was no vets currently opened so I have to wait until tomorrow to make an appointment to take her in. For the past few days, Wendy has had a loss of appetite and eats very little. I noticed a huge difference when she ate only half of a very veggie/bug-full meal. She was running fine yesterday but today I noticed some behaviour that was very concerning. She was lethargic, looks much thinner, and there's heavy breathing. I also noticed she walks a little funny. I know she's not wobbling but it seems like her back legs don't have enough energy to lift her or something. I syringe fed her some bananas with water and she took it fine. Nothing has changed in light schedule or temperature. |
