PepperPokesdaddy Hello, all of these are good suggestions for your little one. As far as the eating of paper bedding this is also normal. I use Carefresh natural paper bedding as I have the entire time I have had her. I have been a hedgie daddy to Pepper, for 5 years. They don't see very well as you may know they rely on smell and taste. As far as fleece bedding I think the problem that you're having is that you can't really get the smell out the fleece good enough for a hedgehog so they're going to go where they went before. It's like a dog peeing on trees. They also will chew on the bedding and anoint themselves because they think it stinks and they think that it will protect them from danger. When I let her out sometimes she will also chew on my beard for the same reason. I hope this helps

Ria Its a pian the shredded cardboard I use is desinged for horses, its called future animal bedding (not sure if you'll be able to find it or not because I cant check but you could try)
Theres quite a few good paper ones but they can end up pretty expensive.
I wouldnt use the wood shavings, theres defintly too many risks that I wouldnt really want to take, also its gets everywhere a lot worse than paper beddings or the cardboard bedding.

Onix93 Sounds like I have to switch the bedding again. It's such a shame because I love fleece 😔 I googled cardboard bedding and unfortunately it's unavailable here in Romania. I only found the ones made out of recycled paper. The breeder I got her from used wood shavings (coniferous I think) but I read all about those and the risks they possess and I'm kind of afraid to buy them.

Ria Oh see I think letting her burrow all the time helps, as well as searching around that area for insects. She still loves climbing😂 Shes pretty good at climbing all over us and up the sofa😂

Onix93 Yeah, Hedwig also has a lot of toys 😂 but still tries to climb everywhere

Ria Holly loves it, I put less around her foor, water and hide, and then use a lot after that going up the end where she burrows around. I dont think I have a picture to show you though.
She also loves climbing onto the top of her hide, and anywhere she can but the more toys I add the less she tries climbing. Shes got so many toys now😂

Shredded cardbaord that has been treated and dust extracted is a good bedding its also known as finacard in some places and softa card in other places. But its all animal safe shredded cardboard. I havent heard of a hedgehog eating it.
Thank you, I'll try to find some!

Onix93 At first she only pooped in a corner (which is opposite to where her house is) so I started litter training her and it worked...until it didn't. Now she poops everywhere )
I guess I'll try changing things around and if that doesn't work I'll get rid of the fleece and get another bedding (hopefully she won't try to eat it).
She's also a digger and a climber and I tried giving her a box filled with fleece strips but she's ignoring it.
