k.kariah Kokomo Animal Hospital treats hedgies. It is expensive but I take all of my pets there because the vets are so helpful and sweet.

RowanTheBoat I live right next to the Small Animal Hospital in West Lafayette, IN and it was great. They have a 24/7 emergency wing which always has an exotic pet doctor on call. The one they call for hedgehogs is Dr. Steve Thompson and so far he has been very good and knowledgeable.

Can't say enough about Dr. Boxberger. She has awesome bedside manner and is knowledgeable about hedgies for sure. She asked about the food combination I gave him and the first time we went in to see her, she gave ME an info packet even though I was grilling her for answers regarding different treatment methods used, etc. Way positive experience here and she was super helpful with paperwork and any other necessary steps when I was moving out of country.

Indiana

I have taken Rosey to Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic in Indianapolis a couple times now for general checkups. I didn't see a thread for Indiana so I wanted to help some people out if they came here and checked for Indiana. They are very calm with hedgies and I give Avian & Exotic Animal Clinic A thumbs up in my book . I have also taken my snake here also if anyone has a snake too.

Indianapolis/Central Indiana

In the Indianapolis/Central Indiana region I am currently taking my hogs to Parkside Animal Hospital, where Dr Mike Havens has hedgehog experience.

Parkside Animal Hosptial
website: http://www.parksidepets.com/
Name/s: Dr. Havens
#(317)-849-1440
- Don't be put off that their website doesn't mention hedgehogs or any exotics. They get hedgehogs frequently enough that the staff are all aware, and Dr. Havens is experienced with them and very comfortable with them an knows proper handling techniques to get our spiky friends to cooperate without immediately jumping to sedation.
-Very friendly staff at all points.
-If going for mite treatment, don't be surprised if they offer ivermectin - however, unlike some other vets in the area they won't push it on you. They are very open to hearing what you think is a good treatment and are happy to prescribe revolution.
-Check ups start around $40.

Hello,
In Fort Wayne, Indiana there are two vets that have hedgehog experience. I am currently taking one to each vet, to see which I like better..but wellness checks were done the exact same on both of my hedgies. Again one hedgie went to each vet clinic.

#1: Allen Veterinary Clinic
website: http://www.allenvetclinic.com/
Name/s:
#(260)-744-4121
---You don't have to make an appointment, but you need to call to make sure one of the vets that see hedgehogs is working. They have two that do see them. I like the clinics hours..
(I need to find the card or reciept and give both of their names.)
-Wellness Check starts at $40 and goes up depending on how the check goes.

#2: Dupont Veterinary Clinic
Name: Dr. Boxberger
Website: http://www.dupontvet.com/
#(260)-637-7676

I also know of a really good one in Indy, that I use to go to a few years back. My brother took his hedgehog to her. I use to take my degus and chinchilla to her. That was Dr. Lennox..I don't remember her site, but I still have her number (317) 879-8633. The only reason, why I am not going to her now is because I have two vets in my area.
