Cool, I wasn't exactly sure what other treats you can give your hedgie.
Now I know that they said that fruits and veggies can be given as treats too.
When I first brought Lenny home I would cut up some carrots for him.
But what fruits and veggies can you give them?
Safe Fruits & Veggie List

Remember with veggies that are hard to cook them so they are softer for your hedgehog

Glad it worked out.

Your signature is adorable.

Yup, you can give waxworms as treats. I would only do them occationally, as they have a lot of fat in them. I froze mine, because I wasn't using them up quicly enough. I give my Cholla 1 wax wom maybe 2 or 3 times a week.

Re: trouble with back nails

Yeah it can be really bad with Lenny. XD
I have to like get him on his back so his hands and feet stick out.
It takes some time because he constantly has a lot of energy wanting to explore my room.
When he remains completely calm on his back thats when i go in with the clippers.
I wish I had some meal worms for him tonight after the cleaning of the poo.
Can you give em wax worms as treats too?

Re: trouble with back nails

Ok well i managed to get the poop out from under his nails,
I tried the flier and the washcloth but it really wasn't getting it all off.
The poop was harden so much I ended up having to use my fingers to pick it out XD
but he seems alot happier now. It was tough because i was alil scared of hurting him.
He actually remained calm while i got him on his back.
And all at the same time i got to clip some of those nails too

yeah for me if scrubbing the absolute heck out of it (as long as dexter tolerates it haha) with a toothbrush doesn't work, i use the curvy part of the nail clipper too! Luckily Dexter doesn't mind.
Good luck!! I know it's frustrating

Re: trouble with back nails

thanks for the advice guys Ok i am gonna try to first pick it out with the nail flier on the end of the nail clippers, and use the wet wash cloth to try to soften it out. If all else fails, I will use my fingers to pick it out :P Hopefully this works

Re: trouble with back nails

I let the foot bath take care of as much as it can, and then I cuddle my boys in my lap and use the little nail filey thing on my nail clippers to gently scrape away anything else. The curvey thingy
