The reason is in the first section here: https://www.hedgehogcentral.com/bedding.shtml Basically, cedar might be dangerous from a respiratory standpoint, and pine is toxic unless properly treated, which wood for a cage likely won't be. It's much safer to just avoid both. |

Quick Question! So my boyfriend was going to make a cage for our two girls, Seprate but one thing. And I told him he couldn't use Pine or Cedar because I think I had seen someone say that on here. Now he told me to find out why. So I was wondering why not? && if you DO use it is there any ways to prevent whatever happens to the hedgies? Sorry for the dumb question haha! |
