Re: not wanting to eat kibble

I'm having the exact same problem with my Unariccia!
she would snack on a few pellet of kibble but when I leave a saucer full of it, then she ignores it and if she goes
for food definitively she would for the soft one.
I will try the idea of putting dry kibble in one saucer and wet kibble in the other one and see what she prefers!
good luck to the both of us

Re: not wanting to eat kibble

she absolutely loved it untill i started giving her fresh meat and if i leave it for quite a few days she will go back to snacking on it but the one instance of a snack she dislikes it so im not sure if its too hard for her or what... im slowly moving her onto organic kibble natural balance which are alot more tiny then her old kibble and she seemed to love it when i first gave her a handful... i got quite a few sample packs so it should be fresh as it was sealed?

i will try her on it but it would suck if i had to take her to the vet...only went a couple months ago and now im jobless

Re: not wanting to eat kibble

It could be just the fresher foods versus the kibble. To test out softer versus harder, I would try offering her a dish of kibble that's been soaked in water to be mushy. Make sure there's a dish of normal dry kibble in too, and that you know how much of each. Then check in the morning and see which she preferred. If she eats the mushy, you might want to do a vet visit to be absolutely certain there's no mouth issues unless she's good about letting you get a really good look inside it.

What kind of kibble is she on? It could be either too hard for her, too big, it might be stale (if you've had it awhile), or she might just not like the flavor. How long have you been feeding her the kibble? Is the change in food preference a recent thing or something that's been going on awhile? If it's a sudden recent change, I would lean more towards mouth problems or stale kibble. Otherwise it might be not liking her kibble or something like that, so you could try a change of kibble.

not wanting to eat kibble

my little ploof wont eat her kibble after having a treat of meatballs or chicken or anything like that and im kinda worried/wondering if i could work with it a bit more... its almost like she prefers the softer foods so what sort of diet could i move her onto? her teeth look fine and she will take the kibble out of my hands but otherwise she pays no attention to it.

thank you in advance for the advice
