Hedgie had a fall! Help?

I sometimes take Melchoir out to gallivant while I sit at my computer desk and work in the evenings - today while I was typing, Melchoir walked right off the edge of the desk and fell about three feet to the carpet! He was walking around on the floor just fine, and I picked him up and put him back on the desk. I gave him a treat and then he curled up in a ball and fell asleep right out in the open.

Could he have really hurt himself? How would I know? It might have just shook him up, and so he exhausted himself with all the adrenaline of falling... but I am worried.

In other news, I've had Melchoir for a few months now, and he's not becoming much more friendly, but I feel like it'll take time. Is it weird that he hasn't gone through quilling? He's 20 weeks old...[attachment=0:1oupac7p]3426072235_fe90686e97_m.jpg[/attachment:1oupac7p]

He might have gone through quilling and just not have been very obvious about it. Lily's mood hardly changed at all when she was quilling, and she didn't lose tons of quills all at once, so I didn't really notice.

As for falling...keep a close eye on him for the next couple of days, and monitor his food/water and activity. If he acts even slightly out of the ordinary, take him to the vet ASAP.
