Heating Issues

Hey all! It’s been quite a while since I’ve been on here; hope everyone is well!

I’ve recently moved rooms from the second story to the basement. Overall, I’ve had no issues with heating up until this point, but this morning I woke up to find Christina’s house at 70° and she was obviously lethargic; ugh! I have the Midwest Guinea Habitat set up with two CHE lamps. I guess my question is really just an invite to throw out some more suggestions; I’m gonna throw a warm water bottle in there for her to warm herself up so she doesn’t stay lethargic, but any ideas would be appreciated. I’ve thrown around the idea of a space heater, but I’m in and out of the house most of the day so that’s not a safe option. I’ve also considered MacGyver-ing a sort of “wrapping” so that the house isn’t so airy since the sides and lid are made of metal wire. Thanks y’all!

Could you not put the space heater on a pulse thermostat to stop the whole room dropping in temp?
That way its controlled, the same way a CHE is. So it wont drop nut wont be on if its not needed? Would make that idea safer.

Thats all I have sorry!

It didn't even cross my mind to hook a space heater up to a thermostat; I'll look into that some more definitely! I have a feeling now that the AC is on for summer this is something I'll have to be more proactive about, so I'll definitely do some digging on that idea! Thanks!
