Kalandra I have seen a similar photo once and the vet thought it was a growth caused by trauma or an infection. I cannot find in my email at the moment what they did nor the outcome of the hedgehog. Good luck, and please update the thread with what the vet's diagnosis is.

Boy hedgehog issues... help!???

My little dude is 3 years old and this has never happened before. It in is little boy parts- he gets “excited” yes- but this little bulge hasn’t ever been an issue. These both are from today. From this morning when I scooped him up to snug him before I go to work. And I found this little sac that I didn’t know what to do about. Called a clock vet clinic that specializes with hedgehogs- made an appointment. When I got home from work this afternoon it was normal again (second picture) but then just now it happened again???!!? Any other hedgie owners know what’s going on? Now I have him in my lap and he’s just fine!
He doesn’t seem to be in pain but I don’t want to overlook this if it’s an issue.
