|autumnfox||I think it all depends, really. It depends how much below 72 (or roughly 72) it is, if your hedgehog is asleep in their bed vs. running around, and how much your hedgehog can withstand. From what I understand, the "process of hibernation" starts immediately (in the various cases), but is possible to take an hour or so. But again, there are many factors that play into actually hibernating.|

How quickly does hibernation happen?
I was just wondering how fast hibernation can occur, for example if my CHE broke and the temperature dropped would my hedgie attempt to hibernate within a few minutes, hours, or days etc?
Picking up my hedgehog next week and want to be as prepared as possible!
