I read that sometimes hedgies are reluctant to eat mealworms until they are fully adjusted to their new home and feel comfortable to "hunt" for them. Thorin won't eat anything unless it's in his food...

Welcome to the forums! Mealworms actually can take a bit for the hedgie to try, but once they do... the mealworms are a tried and true favorite for just about every hedgehog I have ever heard of.
