I feed the bites...they look like kibble and thaw really quickly since they aren't very big. I put them in frozen usually. I feed 6% of her body weight. Currently she is 283 grams, so that figures out to nearly 17 grams, but of that I try to feed about 7 grams of raw organic ground turkey from Whole Foods, because the bone and organ ratio of the Instinct bites is a bit high. Also I sprinkle just a tiny bit of probiotic powder on her turkey, and feed her 4-5 worms a day. During the evening I leave her a little buffet of chopped fruits and vegetables but she doesn't eat much of that (the Instinct has some fruits and vegetebles in it). I tried to fed her raw chicken necks, a raw wing drumette, and a raw feeder fish but she's having none of that, so I consider myself fortunate that she eats what she does, and gets excited about it. Oh, one more thing...a couple of drops of olive oil on her food every day. Good luck with the switch, and let me know if I can answer any more questions.
Aww, thank you! I only have my one little hedgehog to give me experience, so almost everything I say is lessons I've learned over the past year on the forum. I ask questions so that when our more experienced users show up, they have all the information they need to give good advice for the complicated problems!
