I am doing a report on hedgehogs and I really need to know if they imprint on other hedgehogs or items when they are young. Someone Please respond ASAP. Thanks!

I didn't do anything to your post, they are still there. I just posted to not post on old threads, just like we do anytime an old thread is posted on. I did not say anything about your post or it's content. I believe you are putting ideas and thoughts into my head when you have no basis to do so. Oh and by the way, when I was breeding my two albinos had numerous non albino offspring when bred to each other.

I would also ask if they give a lifetime guarentee against WHS and if they have pedigree's showing the babies lineage. Reputable breeders have these things. Find out where the parents come from,...

That does not sound good at all. I would be calling all vets in the area, most do after hours for emergencies, and this sounds like one. There is nothing you can do at home to treat him.

I wouldn't take the chance of moving the cage. Many moms will get stressed by that and abandon the babies. I don't see any benefit in doing that and its a very big risk.

Were you feeding the mealworms with your hands? He could probably smell them on you and thought he was biting a mealworm. Hand feeding can lead to biting and isn't recommended.
