I didnt mention the bit about kwick reducing as I didnt know

I’m not saying the file is instead of the sciccors. Its just easier for getting it shorter and closer to the Kwick so you still need to cut as much of the nail as you can, or you will be there forever trying to file them right down.

The file doesnt scare Holly, and she actually has no problem at all when I do use the file. Its just an easier way to get the nail closer to the kwick. But I dont know if all hedgies wont get scared or if its just mine that doesnt.
Worth trying though, the worst that happens is it doesnt work and you go back looking for another way to get closer to the kwick.

The file does use a lot of motion yes. But you dont have to move it super fast for it to work.

You dont have to use dog clippers, you can use baby clippers or nail sicciors, if your going to use animal clippers, then you'd need ones for small animals they would be best.

To be honest with you, its more about what you feel like is best to use and what your more confident in using
