Default poop boots & daily foot bathes?

wylie has just finally started using his wheel after making adjustments to his heat/light schedule (yay!) so ive been seeing some pretty intense poop boots. to wash them ive been letting him play in the sink with an inch of room temperature water every night for 10ish minutes to soften the poop then i brush it off with a toothbrush. after that we have towel snuggles until hes dry and ready for floor play. is there any harm to putting him in water every day? there is never any soap in the water. if that is harmful how does everyone else get rid of poop boots each night before snuggles? wylie is a climber and a snuggler and runs all over me so i like him clean-pawed!! let me know!

peace & love from me and wyles!

I'd get the water on the warmer side.

its definitly on the warmer side, just not hot. but do you think daily water exposure is a problem? how do you deal with poop boots?

Ahhh...poop boots...how fun... Lol!

Depending on how bad they are, I will either give Hazel a footbath or wet a paper towel with water and gently rub her feet to clean them. The paper towel method works great when they are dirty but not horrible! Lol! I do try to clean her wheel every day as well, as that seems to help tremendously.

I believe it is fine to do a foot bath every night if it is needed. Because it is just water the skin will probably not dry out to much.
