Default Overgrown teeth

Hi everyone! I know this page is for hedgehogs but I am in serious need for an answer to this question about gerbils. I have two gerbils and one seems to have overgrown teeth. There are no vets near by that are willing to trim her teeth so I was wondering if there is another solution. I heard you can do it yourself but would that hurt her? Do gerbils have nerves in there teeth? (I don't think rats do but I'm not sure about gerbils)any advice would be helpful! Thank you in advance to anybody that has any advice. I'm sorry this isn't a question about hedgehogs, I am in desperate need of some answers. I don't want her to become unhealthy.
