Default Goodbye Moki

At 5 years old, I'm sad to say that I lost my little guy this morning. He hadn't been eating for a few days, and I had been syringe feeding him to make sure he didn't starve. Yesterday he went to the vet and it was believed he had some sort of respiratory infection, as his breathing was strained. This morning I went get him to give him his medicine, and after taking it as well as a little food he started laying down and taking strained breaths through his I was calling the vet to figure out what I could do, he took one final shakey breath. It broke my heart to see him hurting so much, but I'm glad that I was able to be there to hold him close in his final moments. It's been a wonderful five years...Moki was the best friend I could've asked for during some hard times and an amazing travel buddy through 2 vacations to the mountains and 1 cross-country move. I only wish I had given him more treats and cuddles when I had the chance. Hoping he enjoyed his walk over the rainbow bridge, and that there's plenty of mealworms to be eaten in hedgie heaven <3

Goodbye Moki, may your journey be filled with tasty treats. No matter how many treats and cuddles you give, it just never is enough. .

I am truly sorry for your pain as Moki moves on to his new world. Five years with you! He was also with you, his best friend, as he started his final trip home. How wonderful for precious Moki................. So lucky to be part of each other's lives..........
