Unhappy My sweet baby Rigby died suddenly yesterday

I'm so devastated. Yesterday I found him lying in the middle of his cage, dead. He died while I was taking a nap, he was fine right before I went to sleep. I'm completely heartbroken. I suspected he had a bladder infection and was gonna take him to the vet tomorrow. I should've gone sooner. I hate myself for not going right away. I can't believe he's gone. He was only a year old. Picking up his stiff little body with blood on the side of his mouth haunts me. I love him so much. I'm so sorry I couldn't get you to the vet sooner. I called him wiggles all the time because he hated being held on his back since he was a baby. I can't stop crying. I can't believe I lost him. My stomach drops every time I think about it. I miss Rigby so much. He was a huge part of my life. I have so many hedgehog things and they just remind me of what I've lost. I will get another hedgehog someday when I'm ready, but no hedgehog could ever replace the bond I had with Rigby. I'm broken

I am very sorry. Try not to be so hard on yourself. I'm sure you were the best hedgie mom little rigby could ever dream of and I'm sure he loved you just as much as you loved him. Sending love your way!

I'm so sorry Please don't beat yourself up too much about it, it's not your fault. There might have been something else going on. It can be very hard to notice with these little guys.
