Default Cutting nails

So I had my first heart attack today, and I feel horrible.

While trimming my hedgehog Andy's nails he moved right before I clipped and I cut way too short, he started bleeding and I quickly searched the webs for advice, in about a minute I found that dipping his toe (well, I couldn't get a hold of just his foot) into some plain old flour.
Afterwards seeing as the bleeding was somewhat diminished I placed him back in his cage with an ample amount of blankets and a few mealies to say I was sorry. I removed his wheel and am hoping that a few days off of it will help.

But I'm still terrified about infections, or even if I did the right thing. Please help me?

You did everything just right! Take some deep breaths and try to give yourself some slack. Cutting too short is something everyone does at some point or another, and it's extremely easy to do with these guys. With his wheel out, keep an eye on him tonight - if he decides climbing is a good alternative activity, you may want to put his wheel back in tomorrow night since climbing can be dangerous to him as well as the toe. If you do end up putting the wheel back in, just try & keep the foot as clean as possible by doing a foot bath first thing in the morning. It should heal pretty quickly, and I'm sure he'll forget it all within a couple days.

I'm sure we've all cut the quick on our hedgies toe(s) by accident. It happens. Don't feel bad, you did what was needed and like Lilysmommy said it should heal quickly.
