Default Black Mass on Pricky’s Feet

Little prick is having an issue. After roaming freely around the house for two days after escaping his cage, we found Pricky with what we thought was going on his foot. Upon a more detailed look it seemed as thorough we were mistaken. We don’t know what it is. It’s gotten worse over the weeks and we would like to know what it is that might be going on.
We think it could be the result of stepping on one of those a sticky glue mouse trap. We had a small field mouse issue over the past two weeks and were determined to catch.
Can anyone determine what that is? Or have had a similar experience with your hedge hog?

I don't know very much about these things, but I know hedgehogs are very prone to tumors. I would personally probably take him to the vet, but again, I don't know much about these things.

You need to seek veterinary help as soon as possible. From those photos it looks like there is an indention in the foot/leg area and the foot is turning black (yes?), that is often what it looks like when a hair or string wraps around the foot and cuts off circulation. Black tissue normally means the tissue is dying. This is something that needs immediate veterinary help.
